We are delighted to be welcoming the Classic Triumph TR Sports Car Club to Parham this April for their Drive it Day.
Drive it Day is a national day for classic car owners and clubs to take to the roads around the UK. There are many such clubs and cars, many of which are no longer remembered by the modern motoring public.
Organised this year by The Goodwood TR Group which is part of the South East region of the Club, the region consists of six groups so a good turnout is expected of over 100 cars dating from 1953 to 1981. There will also be TRs coming from Dorset, plus a number of Triumph Stags, so a plethora of colour and styles, and a lot of nostalgia.
The TR Register own a Special TR – TS2 which is coming from Didcot, Berkshire especially for the event. The organisers are also hopeful of the presence of the very lovingly restored and special TR2 -MVC 575, which broke the land speed record for 2-litre production sports cars in Belgium in 1953, recording just short of 125mph.
The collection of cars is on show on 22 April and should be one of the best Drive it Day gatherings seen for many years, enhanced by the wonderful surroundings of Parham Park.
The House and Gardens will be open as usual on this day with an added opportunity to see this fantastic display of classic cars.
