Artist Demo Days

Throughout this season, Parham will be hosting Artist demonstration days for the public to view and be able to ask questions to local artists. This is an opportunity to not only meet the artists but also to watch the process they work on to create their pieces.

As well as being trained at the Royal School of Needlework (RSN), Hampton Court Palace as a specialist in the art of hand embroidery, Chrissie Juno Mann also works as a tutor for the RSN at various locations across the UK.

Chrissie held a workshop at Parham in June, to re-create the pasture landscape on the embroidery stumpwork box that is being shown this season in the Long Gallery, ‘An English Sonnet’.

Fiona Hooper’s passion lies in painting landscapes in her distinctive and contemporary style. Fiona joined us in June and painted a section of our Blue border and wall going out to the pleasure grounds in oil paints. Fiona prefers to work in the open air in the places that she loves, interpreting the sights, sounds and smells in paint on canvas. https://www.fionahooper.com/

Tim Wheeler is a largely self-taught artist working in a variety of media. His work ranges from graphite and watercolour pictures through to sculpture. His main medium currently is stone which he works into pieces ranging from fully abstract through stylized animal forms to fully figurative.

Tim joined us in July, bringing in a couple of finished stone pieces and some small cast pieces with their mould to demonstrate the process that he is working on. https://www.twsculpture.co.uk/
