We welcomed in the new season with our popular Autumn Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September.
Despite the weather warnings, families from across the South descended on Parham to celebrate traditional estate life as well as the abundance of produce that harvest time brings.
As part of this seasonal celebration, visitors enjoyed live cookery demonstrations throughout the weekend. On Saturday we welcomed James Golding, Group Chef Director of THE PIG, a hotel group renowned for its use of homegrown and locally sourced ingredients. Meanwhile Sunday’s guests watched Parham’s own Head Chef, Neil Rusbridger go head to head with Viv Casson of Cassons Restaurant in a country style cook off. Dishes included Venison loin with anna potato, clementine and red wine sauce, Spinach and mushroom pearl barley risotto and Rhubarb poached with Grenadine, elderflower curd, vanilla crème fraiche.
