Heralding the start of autumn, our annual Harvest Fair took place on Saturday 23rd – Sunday 24th September.
Celebrating the abundance of produce that autumn brings, the Harvest Fair brought together the very best of homemade food, locally grown produce as well as activities for all ages.
Food writer and historian Sam Bilton was also there throughout the weekend giving cookery demonstrations in the main marquee. Using ingredients from our gardens and local producers attending the event, she showcased recipes spanning the 14th to 18th centuries including sweet and savoury dishes.
