Winter can be a tough time for local wildlife, none more so than hedgehogs. So when our Garden team discovered a couple of underweight hogs out of hibernation in the Walled Garden, they took them to Grove Lodge Animal Hospital in Worthing to give them a little helping hand.
After the hedgehogs were nursed back to health, local animal charity Wadars brought them back to Parham to be released.
A haven for local wildlife, the Gardens here at Parham offer the perfect sanctuary for prickly garden visitors due to the abundance of food and nesting sites available for them to take shelter in. Our Garden team has also created a new hedgehog home to provide extra shelter.
