We were delighted to discover that Parham House and Gardens has been shortlisted for the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category in the prestigious 2018/19 Beautiful South Tourism Awards.
The awards are highly competitive and looking at the other nominees, it’s clear to see that standards are very high across the South. An awards ceremony takes place on 5th December at The Grand Brighton and we will find out at the event whether Parham has won a gold, silver or bronze award.
Whatever prize we’re awarded, we’re very proud to be on the shortlist and it’s a reflection of the fantastic, hardworking team we have at Parham. We have been informed by the judging panel that their standards are very high; they look for excellence and so it’s a significant achievement to have reached the final. More than the trophy we take home on the night, the knowledge that the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team has been recognised is also a very valuable prize.
We were both honoured and proud to read the comments from Nigel Smith, CEO of Tourism South East, made about the nominees. When announcing the shortlist, he said:
“The Beautiful South Awards are a reminder of the amazing wealth of fantastic tourism businesses and experiences that the South East of England has to offer. The standard just gets better and better which is a reflection of the investment taking place in the industry and the professionalism of the people who work in this important sector. Particular thanks go to the amazing independent volunteer judges who again did such a thorough job and had to make some very difficult decisions. Some very fine businesses narrowly missed the cut so the finalists truly are the best of the best.”
We will keep our fingers crossed for now and update you after the event!
